Join the Orange Door Kitchen team and Fugitive Productions for an evening of live music, small plates, and a full bar in West Acton Village featuring the blues and soul sounds of Kemp Harris and Friends.
Kemp Harris is a composer, musician, children’s author, actor, and teacher. Born in North Carolina, Kemp taught himself piano and was writing songs at age 14. This summer his band was the featured act at Beat Brasserie in Harvard Square, sponsored by AirBNB. It was a captivating, soulful display of what Kemp does best — completely engage his audience from his first note to the last.
As a musician and composer, Kemp has shared the stage with Taj Mahal, Gil Scott-Heron, and blues artist, Koko Taylor. He wrote and performed “If Loneliness Was Black” for The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Complexions. He has also composed for Phase One Contemporary Dance in Atlanta.
